Our engagement with the Liberian Education Advancement Program (LEAP) began in 2016 and ended in 2024.
The government of Liberia initiated the Liberian Education Advancement Program (LEAP) in 2016 after years of civil conflict, which had shattered lives as well as 80% of the country’s school infrastructure, and the compounded crisis of the Ebola epidemic. LEAP is a public-private partnership that delivers 100% tuition-free primary education throughout Liberia, from early childhood education through grade 6. Non-state school partners build additional public school capacity by sharing know-how in the areas of school management, educational pedagogy and teaching excellence.
